David B Simmonds

David is an award-winning photographer with 25 years experience in all areas of the photography industry. He is passionately committed to the dynamic, creative process of making images and brings a strong lateral thinking and consultative approach to each project, working closely with our clients to deliver the best image solutions.

David specializes in the built environment, urban & industrial landscape, and people. His work is particularly suited to corporate, architectural, advertising and industry requirements. His style spans the bold, graphic and abstract to the refined, subtle and classical. David works primarily on location, both traditionally and digitally, and has refined a super panoramic technique particularly suited to hero images.

He has had many exhibitions over the years, and has been widely published. David’s Melbourne In Spires calendar series of architectural images (1994-97) has been acquired by the State Library of Victoria, and his ‘Melbourne In Spires Big Picture Exhibition’ has been acquired by Museum Victoria. His work appears in numerous architectural books by Images Publishing and in most of the Fuji-ACMP Collection series over the past 10 years.

David’s award-winning images hang in many corporate and private collections in Australia and overseas, and he is currently represented by The Australian Photographer’s Gallery in Sydney.

He is a member of The Society of Australian Commercial & Media Photographers Ltd (ACMP), and The Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP). He is a past Federal President & Chairman of ACMP.
